To retain its old-world charm, the whole of the house is tastefully decorated in period style and is furnished throughout with antiques. We aim for a very high standard; from your initial welcome and throughout your visit.


In your individually furnished room, you will find such things as sherry and fruit on arrival, towelling robes, through to videos, magazines, books and even wine glasses and hot water bottles!; there is also the usual tea and coffee, colour television etc.

Each guest-room has a private bathroom for your exclusive use and you also have the use of a communal sitting room with a wood burning stove, newspaper and books. You are more than welcome to sit in the gardens, which surround the house.

Breakfast offers a wide choice from cereals and fresh fruit followed by dishes such as scrambled eggs on a toasted muffin, Continental, freshly baked croissants and of course the traditional English breakfast. Locally produced food is used wherever possible.

Packed lunches can be provided for walkers by arrangement.

Self Catering Apartment

Within Nuns Cottage is a ground floor self-catering studio apartment which is available for weekly breaks.

The accommodation is reached through gardens with its own entrance leading to its own cobbled garden area with seating.

The accommodation comprises an entrance hall, a large sitting/bedroom, bathroom and galley kitchen. Bed linen and towels are provided.

Tariff:

Bed & Breakfast. The tariff is per room rather than per person. Rates are £65 - £80 per night depending on length of stay.

Apartment. The apartment tariff is from £160 - £240 per week depending upon season and length of stay. Change over is usually on Saturday morning but may be varied by arrangement.
